Davon Kelly prides himself as a philanthropist; charity work has always been a huge part of his life. He founded The 13th Man, to provide tutoring, mentoring, leadership development and enrichment activities to equip young men to become victorious over the obstacles that stand between them and their chance at lifelong success.  Additionally, he served as former Board Chair of Boys Town of Washington, D.C. and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).


Kelly, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and owner of NOVAD Management Consulting (NOVAD).  Since 2003, Mr. Kelly has grown his premier business from a one-man shop to a multi-million dollar company employing over 125 employees across the United States. He and his staff's extensive understanding of project management, business analysis, strategic planning, business process re-engineering, financial advisory services, asset and property management, IT support, and training help advance clients through the use of NOVAD's services.


As CEO, he is committed to customer satisfaction and productivity. His strong commitment to operational excellence, innovative approach to business problems, and aptitude for partnering cross-functionally have reshaped and elevated productivity in many organizations. Prior to starting NOVAD, Davon garnered over 15 years of experience in commercial banking, general accounting services, organizational assessments and project management with both the Federal Government and private sector organizations.


Mr. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from FIT and holds a Master’s Degree in business administration from Bowie State University.  Davon accredits his value of team and sportsmanship from his time at Florida Tech, where he became a Hall of Fame Basketball Honoree.  He shares his wisdom in his book, From Courtside to the Boardroom: A Legacy in the Making. He is a native of Forestville/District Heights, MD and currently resides in Upper Marlboro, MD.


Davon Kelly continues to leverage his business acumen; opening My Barber’s Lounge (MBL), a chain of upscale barbershops in Greenbelt and Forestville, MD.  In 2013, MBL was recognized by the Gazette Newspaper as the Best Barbershop in Prince George's County, a significant achievement for its first year of operation.  MBL also won the award for 2014 Best Barbershop at the 12th Annual Neighborhood Awards, a national competition hosted by talk show host Steve Harvey and hosted by the Ford Motor Company.  Davon continues his entrepreneurial pursuits by starting his own line of premium spirit beverage, Shadow Vodka that launched in 2016.  Kelly has many more plans to grow both as a businessman and philanthropist.
