1. What is The 13th Man?


The 13th Man is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering the greatness of young
men. Through mentorship, leadership development, academic support, and exposure to
professional environments, we equip young men with the tools to thrive in school, in life,
and beyond.

2. Who can participate in the program?


Our core programming is designed for young men ages 12–17 in middle and high
school, in Maryland, Washington DC Virginia and Charlotte, North Carolina. We
welcome all young men who are open to growth, guidance, and accountability.

3. What kind of services or programs do you offer?
   We offer:
  • Weekly Leadership Academies 

  • Book Clubs and Public Speaking Workshops

  • Tutoring and Academic Support

  • Summer Internships and Career Readiness

  • College Tours and Exposure to Professional Environments

  • Community Service and Peer Engagement Opportunities

4. Is there a cost to participate?


No. The 13th Man programs are free to participants. We believe that access to
mentorship, education, and leadership development should never be limited by a young
man’s financial wherewithal.

5. How can I enroll my child in The 13th Man?


You can fill out the online application form on our website or contact us directly for
assistance. Once we receive your interest form, a team member will follow up with next
steps.

6. How is The 13th Man funded?


Our work is made possible through donations from individuals, foundations, corporate
sponsors, and community partners who believe in the power of mentorship and youth

7. Can I volunteer or mentor with The 13th Man?


Yes! We welcome volunteers and mentors who are committed to uplifting and guiding

We are currently active in Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina, with plans for
